Book Buddies.  An interdisciplinary “Book Buddies” program was implemented this year with Mrs. Harmer’s Kindergarten students and Mrs. Lanning’s Child Psychology class.  Once a week the high school students select and read a book to their Kindergarten buddies. At the end of December, students took a break from reading and assembled marshmallow snowmen together.  Both the high school and Kindergarten students look forward to “Book Buddies” day each week.

Community Service Project. Students in the Middle School/High School Life Skills class made no-sew fleece blankets to donate to the local Binky Patrol organization to be distributed to children in need.  Life Skills students are also using fabric left from their tote bag sewing projects to design and sew a class quilt.  The quilt will also be donated to the Binky Patrol.
