Cafeteria Corner BlueJay Fenlong, Food Service Director (Ext. 410) Banford Cafeteria Happenings: I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know a few things about our cafeteria that some of you may not be aware of. We are striving to make our meals as nutritious as possible as well as appealing; students will not eat something that does not look good. Your children have several options each day. They can opt to take the main entrée of the day; if they do not like that they can always have a peanut butter & jelly sandwich or just peanut butter sandwich along with the rest of the reimbursable lunch. There is always tuna available; tossed salad is also an option. We offer canned and fresh fruit every lunch, fresh fruit in the morning. There is a vegetable with every meal as well. If you have any suggestions or concerns, I would be happy to discuss them with you. New ideas are always welcomed! Any items purchased that are not considered a part of a reimbursable meal are considered ala carte items and are purchased at ala carte prices. Listed below are our ala carte prices. You may also opt to put a block on your child’s account so they cannot purchase anything but a reimbursable meal. Again if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me any time.
Watch our District website for our upcoming My NutriKids.com Program This is a family friendly system for online pre-payment of your child(ren)’s breakfast/lunch account(s). We hope to go live sometime in April, so watch the District website for the direct link to MyNutriKids.com. Please note that there will be a transaction fee of $1.75 for each transaction. Example: If you have three children in your family and you wish to put money on their accounts, all at the same time, this would only be considered as one transaction ($1.75). If you choose to deposit money on their accounts on three separate occasions throughout the year, then it will be considered three separate deposits ($1.75 x 3 = $5.25).
