2008: Brandon Rood set a new school record with 302 digits of p

 

2006: 5040 digits of p, stretching 630 feet!

NEW SCHOOL RECORD: Catherine Sheard won the p contest by memorizing 160 digits of p in 2 periods!

2005: We now have 4340 digits of p. Ryan Clemens won the p contest with 100 memorized digits of p in 30 minutes.

2004: We extended our p chain to 3500 links.

2003: We extended our p chain to 2660 links. Winner of the Pi contest was Neil Mandalaywala with 50 memorized digits of Pi.

2002: We extended our p chain to 1880 links. Winner of the Pi contest was Karen Hall with 80 memorized digits of Pi.

2001: We made a p chain, with each numeral represented by a different color. Our chain has about 1300 links. We hung it from the ceiling in the hall past five classrooms! We used our chain to play p Poker: the winning hand so far is 7 9's in a row!

 2000: We used the Pi Trainer to have a Pi competition. Our winners each memorized 150 digits of Pi: Lindsay Barton and Brian McCollum over the entire school day.
